Pelynt NDP Update February 5th 2025

Notice of publication of the proposed Pelynt Neighbourhood Development Plan
PA24/00007/NDP UNDER REGULATION 16 – THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 2012 AND THE LOCALISM ACT 2011.
Proposal – Pelynt Neighbourhood Development Plan. Details – Pelynt Parish Council has submitted its proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan to us for public consultation and independent examination. The plan area covers the Parish of Pelynt.
The NDP includes policies on housing, character, community facilities, transport, employment, parking and sustainability. Once made, these policies will be used to determine planning applications locally along with the Cornwall Local Plan.
Consultation on the submission (Regulation 16) version of the NDP is taking place from 10 February 2025 to 24 March 2025 midnight.

Watch out for public notices soon to be displayed on the Parish notice board, village hall lobby and other public and retail spaces. This is to follow regulation 16 to keep you informed. An independent examiner will be appointed soon to ‘test’ the plan in depth. The referendum to be held in our parish is some way off yet but watch out for more information. A flier to give you an overview will be posted door to door soon.

A big thank you to for the many comments about a proposed park home development near Jubilee Hill. Cornwall planning has to take these into account.
